Grand River Raceway is a premier destination for harness racing in Ontario, offering an exciting and fast-paced environment. We are seeking a **Blacksmith (Ferrier)** to join our team for the upcoming race season.

**Seasonal Racing June - September**

**Mon-Wed-Fri Evenings**

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Repair and Tack Shoes
- Handling a variety of animal temperaments
- Emergency services during practices & races
- Collaborate with external stakeholders (including drivers, trainers, judges)

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 1-2 years of previous Blacksmith experience
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid AGCO license
- General understanding of the operational and regulatory structure of horse racing

**WORK CONDITIONS**
- Ability to work race date evenings (Mon-Wed-Fri) or (Mon & Fri) & Civic Holiday
- Exposure to hazards associated with Equine Industry
- Extended periods sitting
