Journeyman/woman Machinist

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Read and interpret engineering drawing, blue prints, charts and tables as well as sketches
- Perform complex setups and perform unusual machine tool operation. Including grooving, grinding, and other required actions
- Set up and adjust production machineries/tools
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
- Operate manual machines including, but not limited to lathes, mills. drills, grinders, and saws.
- Sharpens and sets tools
- Works with all metallic and non-metallic materials
- Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments, uses gauges, calipers, micrometers to measure work
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
- Manufactures complex parts, maintain calibration of tooling and complete calibration forms as required
- Complete reports and fill out work orders when as required
- Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements
- Extensive experienced working with measuring tools such Micrometers, calipers, calibre, gauges and verniers
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- MUST have Machinist Journeyman Ticket
- Red Seal preferred
- MUST have manual machining experience
- Experience with horizontal and vertical lathes, layout machines, vertical boring mills, horizontal mills, grinders, deburring tools, fixtures, radial and angular drill press, forklifts, crane and various forms of rigging, jib hoist and other required tolls to perform job.
- Team player with positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
- Communicate effectively in English (written/verbal)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Analytical skills
- Ability to initiate and complete project within a specific time frame

**Working conditions**
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
- Inside/outside temperatures fluctuate so appropriate layered outerwear should be considered when preparing for activity throughout the property, depending on the season
- Travel may be necessary & overtime and weekends may be required
