**Drivers Pay**

50 to 55 cents per mile

**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Operate heavy trucks to transport freight between locations in a safe and timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety.
- Assist with minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

**Qualifications**
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.
- Minimum 2 year experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and forklift operation is preferred.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations is essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
