Sales Estimator

We are growing and in need of a Sales Estimator.

Our manufacturing facility in Ontario designs and manufactures a wide range of commercial production greenhouses and systems for all types of greenhouse production: Gutter Connect, Freestanding, Coldframe, greenhouses and growing benches. We offer Irrigation, Environmental controls along with Shading systems, greenhouse coverings, utility structures and an in-house heating and technical department.

This role will review incoming RFQ’s and complete competitive quotations accurately and on-time.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Prepare quotations in a timely manner, working closely with sales to understand requirements.
- Review, complete, and store all incoming quote requests.
- Prepare a summary and update management with outstanding quotes
- Follow-up with sales on outstanding quotes
- Maintain costing spreadsheets, work with all departments to ensure accuracy of costing program
- Update and maintain calculation and quote templates.
- Update the quote log
- Create project specific BOM’s, listing all parts required to manufacture, purchase and ship in full and on time.
- Create part numbers as needed and maintain existing BOM’s.

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in relevant field, with strong background in math and engineering principals (mechanical design) or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of costing methodology
- Able to read technical/engineering drawings
- Horticulture product knowledge would be an asset
- Understanding of production processing requirements and costs
- Expert in Excel and Word
- Must be able to multi-task and work on variety of proposals simultaneously
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of CRM systems, database software and Order Processing/Inventory systems
- Strong trouble shooting, problem solving and organizational skills

**Physical Requirements**
**- **Comfortable in an office environment
- Comfortable making periodic site visits
- Ability to sit for long periods of time

Hours are 8am to 5pm.

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
