Apprentice Carpenter

**Job Overview**
Are you an Apprentice level Carpenter with two or more years experience who enjoys variety and likes the challenge of learning new skills? You might be just the right fit for our team We are seeking an Apprentice Carpenter to join us at EJ Installations. We specialize in residential and commercial renovations in Parksville, Qualicum, Nanaimo, & surrounding areas.

The Apprentice Carpenter will be working as part of a small crew on a wide range of projects, including small to medium sized residential & commercial. We are looking for a team member who will contribute their skill and attention to our projects and seek to meet our standards for quality workmanship while following safety rules.

**Duties**
- Construct, install, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, and drywall.
- Perform concrete forming for foundations and other structures.
- Construct components according to specifications and drawings.
- Install flooring materials, ensuring proper alignment and secure fitting.
- Assemble & install cabinets.
- Install windows, doors, & trim.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary for transporting materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

**Experience**
- Two years or more experience as an apprentice level Carpenter is preferred.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings is an asset, but not required.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with carpentry work.
- Problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Hardworking, motivated, & willing to learn.
- Valid drivers' license & reliable source of transportation required, as you will be driving to the job sites.

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
