About You and this Role
Dow's Path2Zero Program is seeking a Poly Train 4 Commissioning & Start-up Instrument Lead to support large scale capital projects at the Fort Saskatchewan site in Alberta, Canada.

In this role, you will work closely with the Maintenance and Reliability Representative and become a key member of Poly Tr4 Commissioning and Start-up team.
The responsibilities of this role during Project Construction, Commissioning and Start-up include:
- Lead the development of Instrument Commissioning and Start-up Procedures & Binder.
- Work with Maintenance Rep, DOW engineering and EPC to provide input on maintenance and reliability of instrument equipment through MST review.
- Support Maintenance Reps. for SPIR review for Instrument MST.
- Work with Maintenance Reps. and C&SU team for the loop check strategy, work process and preparation.
- Review of Instrument Equipment Protection Plan and participate in field audit throughout construction phase.
- Ensure LPP 15.2/4 Instrumented Protection Systems (SIS/BPCS) is implemented and in compliance.
- Lead the development of PPM program for all Instruments.
- Collaborate with Reliability Engineer for Equipment Reliability Strategy implementation.
- Review of Instrument spare part and setup stocking quantity aligning with ERS and site requirement.
- Support in setting up C&SU database in Provenience for Instrument.
- Work with Maintenance rep. to setup plan for Instrument C&SU resources.
- Work with Maintenance Rep. to setup plan for Instrument tool and special tool.
- Lead the development of Instrument repair procedure.
- Lead Instrument Loop check activities
Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyperson Certificate or Red Seal Designation in Instrumentation.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience (i.e. apprenticeships, journeyman, maintenance, manufacturing or related)
- Willing and able to travel up to 25% (domestically & internationally).
- Ability to safely work in a plant environment, meet physical demands, work at elevated heights, and comfortably use PPE and safety equipment (including harnesses with a total maximum weight capacity of 300lbs). Must be familiar with or open to training on proper equipment usage.
- Prior C&SU experience is preferred.
- A background in Solution PE Technology is preferred.
- A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including any type of permanent residency support.
