**Position Description: Delivery Driver - Temporary (Owner Operator)**

**Title**: Courier Driver (Owner Operator)

**Reports To**:Dispatcher

**Territory**:GTA (Ontario)

**Position***:Independent Contractor (Temporary)

**PURPOSE**:The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering small packages throughout the GTA, efficiently and on-time. The Delivery Driver is flexible with working hours and is physically capable of carrying out 200 deliveries per day. Ensuring and exhibiting safe driving practices at all times, this position is comfortable with navigating a smartphone handheld. This is currently a temporary position for 1 month. There is opportunity to continue past the seasonal period if you are the right fit, and have the preferred vehicle.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Complete deliveries within specified and required time frames
- Load and unload parcels into vehicle
- Assist other drivers as needed and requested
- Maintain organized and safe work environment

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Excellent customer service and attention to detail
- Time management and organizational skills
- Competent using a smartphone device
- Previous driving experience with deliveries is an asset

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be insured with their own commercial insurance
- Valid G-class driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Must possess a Minivan or a Cargo Van
- Criminal Record Check
- Good knowledge of GTA and the surrounding areas
