What You’ll Be Doing:

- Obtain quotes from suppliers.
- Choose and recommend suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing and delivery; follow-up on orders to ensure timely arrival.
- Meet with supplier representatives to stay updated on pricing and production levels.
- Purchase all raw materials required for operations, including powder, alloys, additives, components for assembly, packaging, ceramics, etc.
- Ensure all requisitions have proper sign-off and secure the goods or services.
- Maintain all purchased part information in ERP/CMS system.
- Run MRP and create/distribute schedules to suppliers based on current stock levels and urgency.
- Ensure schedules are sent, received, and processed by suppliers; follow up with supplier acknowledgment of acceptance.
- Track deficiencies and expedite suppliers as required.
- Liaise with Quality for all quality issues and manage RGA credit for returned material.
- Coordinate with Inventory Analyst and review monthly inventory counts for accuracy.
- Liaise with production manager, suppliers, and customer service to provide production support.
- Work with the team on special projects and capital purchases.
- Maintain and organize files on suppliers, special projects, and requisitions.
- Maintain expedite log and support office with supply of material, copier counts, and maintenance.
- Work in compliance with Johnson Electric’s Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures, including IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
- All other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

- High school graduate, preferably with a post-secondary technical education, or equivalent.
- Excellent negotiation skills, along with a mechanical aptitude.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate purchasing responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills, good interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Materials purchasing experience, ERP or MRP, and inventory management essential.
- Good understanding of Supply Chain.
- Familiarity with Microsoft software and ERP systems, CMS experience preferred.
- Previous order desk experience and/or 2-3 years purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
