**Housekeeper Details**:
**Location: Hamilton Village Care Centre, 23111 Garripie Road, Richmond, BC**

**Status: Full-Time Temporary**

**Wage: $20.97/hr (base pay+SSO wage*)**
- **(Base 16.00hr +4.97/hr SSO wage)**

**For Single Site Order Locations: + 4.97/hr**

**Important Information: Housekeeping experience preferred**

**Schedule: Sunday to Thursday (8am to 4pm, 7:30am to 3:30pm)**

**Start Date: ASAP**

**Job Summary**:
Perform all housekeeping duties to provide the facility with a clean, safe and sanitary environment. Perform all cleaning and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by Support Services Manager and/or Housekeeping Supervisor or designate.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Clean and disinfect areas and items such as washrooms, vents, interior windows, walls, glass, doors and mirrors.
- Strip, wash and make beds; collect and fold linen.
- Damp mop hard floors and auto scrub as needed.
- Check all main areas, lobbies, stairwells, elevators/escalators and mezzanines and clean as required.
- Vacuum carpeted areas and complete carpet extraction as needed.
- Remove all garbage from resident rooms and common areas.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident and personnel information.
- Maintain a safe environment at all times (e.g. use of wet floor signs).
- Perform duties according to health and safety guidelines.
- Report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Responding to emergency cleanups as required.
- Other duties as directed from Manger and/or designate.

- Grade 12 or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare, hotel or commercial cleaning is an asset.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to be able to manage heavy workload.
- Ability to deal with other effectively, work with a team, work with frequent interruptions and follow through completely with all tasks and responsibilities.
- Ability to organize work and operate related equipment.
- Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical ability to perform all aspects of the job, including requirements to lift up to 20 pounds.

Important note**:A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is a condition of employment. Proof of immunizations and Tuberculosis Screening Test results may be required.
