**Position**:Part-Time Residential Counselor (Union Position)
(Temporary assignment ending December 31, 2025)

**Rate of Pay**:$22.56/hour

**Current Location**:Thornhill, ON **(Major intersection: Steeles & Yonge)**

**Hours and Days of Work**

Saturdays and Sundays from 7am to 3pm

**Qualifications**
- Diploma or degree program in a related field
- At least one year of experience working with individuals that have developmental disabilities
- Must have experience dealing with challenging behaviors because of the possibility of working with aggressive people supported
- Must have a valid G driver’s licence
- Strong written and oral communication as well as problem-solving skills.
- Must have the ability to work as a team and independently
- French language is an asset

**Job Duties**
- To work hands-on with individuals that have developmental disabilities in a Residential environment
- This is currently an all-female residential group home.
- To assist with personal hygiene, prepare nutritional meals, administer medication, complete appropriate paperwork and documentation, attend meetings, accompany individuals to appointments, and other related duties.
- Responsible for transporting people supported in company vans to outings and/to from programs
- Provide support in daily living as needed and assist in planning leisure activities in the community
