Are you a positive person who loves your work and wants to contribute to an amazing cause while being
part of a great team?
We are seeking a Part Time Housekeeper (PTH) to keep things clean for our guest families at the Mark
Preece Family House (MPFH). This current role is for part-time weekend and fill in coverage. Flexibility
required to cover additional shifts if necessary.
MPFH is a not-for-profit charitable organization located near the Hamilton General Hospital providing a
“home away from home” with 23 guest rooms for families of acute care patients at a Hamilton hospital.
The PTH reports to our Finance & Operations Manager and supports the Mark Preece House vision and
goals by maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout the House.
The PTH is an integral part of our small team of staff and friendly volunteers, working closely with the Full
time Housekeeper and the Family Service Supervisor to ensure guest rooms, common areas and office
spaces are kept clean, safe and tidy for occupants and visitors.

**Qualifications**:

- High School diploma and 2-3 years work experience in housekeeping, ideally in the hospitality
industry or similar
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the House and our service-oriented culture and
mission
- Organized and pays attention to detail, takes initiative to prioritize effectively and work towards
better efficiencies for the whole organization
- Dependable, punctual and a great team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent customer service skills, courteous and friendly
- Strong work ethic with a desire to keep busy and be productive while being valued for your
contributions
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with and supervising volunteers an asset
- Physical ability to manage stairs, light to moderate lifting and all housekeeping tasks and minor
repair work is required
