The role is responsible for supporting the execution of our internal communications plans and activities from producing a weekly newsletter and content management for our employee engagement platform to writing communications materials and managing the communications inbox. **Accountabilities**: Write and edit a variety of materials to support communications initiatives, while keeping key messages consistent, aligning with other initiatives where it makes sense, and escalating risks to manager and department leaders as appropriate Support Employee Communications & Culture team to deliver impactful communications plans and strategies through project coordination support, writing and editing support, and publication and distribution support Manage communications inbox, responding to inquiries and coordinating responses as necessary Develop and distribute weekly ACG Insider newsletter, identifying and drafting content, obtaining approvals and managing distribution Provide support for events (in-person and virtual) including planning and development of event materials Track and measure communications to develop regular reporting on internal Key Performance indicators **Qualifications**: Degree/diploma in communications, public relations or a related field, or equivalent experience Minimum 2 years of demonstrated communications experience, ideally in the insurance industry, professional services or the financial sector Strong communications skills, including an ability to write and prepare clear, concise and creative materials Strong knowledge of Microsoft office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word and Sharepoint) Knowledge of a wide-spectrum of communication formats, styles, techniques and media Good understanding of communication metrics and reporting processes Strong relationship-building and consultation skills Allstate Canada Group has policies and practices that provide workplace accommodations.
