The UPEI Health and Wellness Centre is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Student Research Assistant to support the CHANGE Program, a 12-month, evidence-based lifestyle intervention developed by Metabolic Syndrome Canada. The program provides free, client-centered nutrition education and supervised exercise sessions led by a Registered Dietitian and a Kinesiologist, with the goal of helping individuals make sustainable, long-term improvements to their health. This position offers an excellent opportunity for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in the fields of health research, nutrition, physical activity, and chronic disease prevention.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist with participant recruitment, screening, and communication
- Schedule and coordinate assessments, appointments, and follow-ups
- Support the setup and delivery of clinical and fitness assessments
- Accurately collect, organize, and input data into research databases
- Maintain participant records, respond to inquiries, and manage calendars
- Contribute to planning, implementing, and evaluating program activities
- Develop procedural and data entry manuals to support program operations
- Analyze current and historical data to identify trends that inform interventions
- Update website content to reflect current program information and best practices
- Enhance presentation materials based on the latest research and evidence
- Perform additional administrative and research-related duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must be currently enrolled at UPEI in Health Sciences (e.g. Kinesiology, Nutrition, Nursing) or a related field
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working in a collaborative team environment
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with data entry and research databases is an asset
- Demonstrated interest in health promotion, chronic disease prevention, and holistic care
