**Title**:Corporate Analyst (Winter Co-op)

**Report To**:Senior Manager, Treasury & Finance

**Work Type**:Hybrid

**Position Summary**:Ready to gain practical experience for your CPA while elevating your financial skills? Join our Finance & Accounting team at CAPREIT This co-op experience is an excellent way for you to learn about real estate industry and you will play a key role to support accounting and financial analysis along with other responsibilities. This position offers you great exposure to mortgage financing and treasury through direct communications to institutional lenders. Last but not least, CAPREIT offers CPA pre-approved programs to help you meet your practical experiences.

**Responsibilities**:
**Accounting**
- Book necessary journal entries to reconcile between SAP (book) and bank statements
- Assist in the timely close of CAPREIT’s month and quarter ends
- Variance analysis between Forecast and Actuals, respond to Financial Reporting team’s inquiry
- Ad hoc analysis as assigned

**Finance Administration**
- Assist in annual compliance reporting required by CMHC and lenders
- Coordinate and administer the lender underwriting process, including liaising directly with the lenders and answering their follow up questions on a timely basis
- Provide required documents to lenders including NOI statement, rent roll, property tax proofs, ESA report and other property-related info

**Qualifications**:

- 1-2 years accounting or finance experience, real estate experience or knowledge preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration
- Strong time management, multi-tasking and organization skills
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite functionality
- Experience with SAP preferred
