**POSITION**: School Age Program Staff, Full Time Position, Forest

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Implement a quality After School and School Age Program for children 4 to 12 years of age
- Plan and implement programming with co-educators and children
- Build positive relationships with the children, families and school community
- Follow the Child Care and Early Years Act requirements and NLCC’s policies and procedures
- Maintain the health and safety requirements within the programs at all times

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Diploma/Degree in any of the following fields of study preferred**:

- Early Childhood Education diploma and a member in good standing in the College of Early Childhood Educators, preferred
- Bachelor of Education
- Recreation and Leisure
- Child and Youth Worker
- Experience working in a School Age Program with children between 4 to 12 years of age is an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of child development
- Knowledge and interest in Emergent Curriculum
- Certified in Standard First Aid with Child & Infant CPR - Level C
- An acceptable Vulnerable Sector Police Check

**HOURS OF WORK**:

- Must be available Monday through Friday, flexible with hours - can be full time (35 hours) or part time (20 hours, afternoons only)
- Additional hours may required (i.e., professional learning, maintaining ratios, etc.)
