We are a team of dedicated optometrists here to help patients with their vision care needs.

**Job description**

Experience in an optometry or medical office would be highly beneficial.

We are seeking a part time optometric assistant to join our growing, owner operated optometry practices. Applicant must be willing to travel between the Cobourg and Belleville offices at times if required, must be honest, friendly and an extremely professional individual as they will be the first interaction patients have with our clinic. While interacting with patients and completing administrative duties, we will expect you to work as a part of our team in a fast-paced environment, employing good time management skills. Part-time hours currently available with possibilities to expand hours in the future.

Job Duties will include:

- Welcome and provide patients the best care and customer service possible on the phone and in person
- Pretesting patients, verifying health cards, billing insurance, making appointments and doing recalls.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

**Salary**: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

Prescreening all patients on the phone for COVID-19 signs and symptoms. Sanitizing hand upon entry and mask wearing policy.

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:

- administrative assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
