Labs-Mart Inc. is an independent third-party testing laboratory that provides analytical services to the supplement, food and cannabis industry. Labs-Mart Edmonton is a GMP certified analytical laboratory and carries ISO 17025 accreditation.

We are seeking a Supervisor-Instrumentation (GC/HPLC/LC) for our Edmonton location. This position provides the opportunity to work for a growing company, achieve professional growth within the organization and cross-train in a variety of techniques.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Supervisor - Instrumentation (GC/HPLC/LC) is responsible for organizing and coordinating the overall operation of the GC, ICP and HPLC teams.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met within the laboratory safety and quality procedures.
- Coordinating, facilitating and monitoring the daily activities of the GC, HPLC and LC teams.
- Work with assigned staff to ensure work schedules are maintained and balanced.
- Promote a culture that inspires operational excellence.
- Communicate with internal staff regarding delays in expected deliverables.
- Monitors lab supplies and equipment; ensure sufficient stock of all critical items is maintained.
- Co-ordinates requests or recommends resource planning (e.g., need for additional staff or equipment)
- Management of housekeeping schedule and cleanliness in lab.
- Technical support (e.g. client communication or internal staff)
- Adhere to regulatory guidelines, including GMP and ISO17025
- Maintaining a safe, organized and efficient analytical laboratory space
- Adhere to the Laboratory Quality Policy and perform their duties in accordance to existing project specific requirements, current Test Methods, study plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Compliance to Health & Safety policies and procedures and wear required Personal Protective equipment at all times
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualification Requirements**:

- B.Sc. (Science), preferred OR combination of experience and education
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a commercial laboratory
- 2-3 years’ experience in a leadership role with direct reports
- Working knowledge of laboratory safety and quality
- Strong computer skills with experience with LIMS
