**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and patient preferences.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Sanitate kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery to patients.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding their meals.
- Participate in training sessions related to food safety and sanitation practices.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food handling practices is advantageous.
- A background in the food industry or food service will be beneficial for this role.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service are essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$18.18 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- dietary aide: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)

Work Location: In person
