Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of electrical equipment installations
- Installing/moving/removing of cables, antennas, and splitters as per customer requirements
- RF Cable Return Loss testing (PIM testing) and overall site performance testing.

What you’ll be doing in this role:

- Perform RAN integration and commission, troubleshooting and acceptance for LTE/5G networks
- Support network swap activities, new sites and existing sites
- the setting of parameters
- In-depth troubleshooting skills to analyze complex issues related to software, network, database, hardware failure, configuration and integration
- Have capabilities to identify software, hardware issues in a timely manner with mínimal supervision.

Skills required:

- Practical knowledge of 4G and 5G network set-up, interface and connectivity
- Understanding of applicable wireless technologies, RF hardware, system design, and 3GPP industry standards
- Strong abilities to diagnose network issues, alarms and events
- Good understanding of various test equipment, RF sweep, PIM testing, OTDR
- Practical and strong knowledge of Linux, python or scripting language is an asset
- High School, GED, vocational or technical training preferred
- Electrical, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science studies are an asset
- Network designs, configuration, support and deployment of network infrastructures experience is an asset.

With head offices located in Richmond Hill ON, WaveStar Networks is a Canadian company with over 15 years’ experience providing a wide array of critical infrastructure and network services as well as professional and consulting services to telecommunication/ISP/Cable providers, data center operators and corporate/business/public sector customers.
