**ACCESS WORKER - CORNWALL LOCATION**
- The Supervised Access Program_, of the Centre York Centre is currently seeking to fill a full-time casual Access Worker position for the **Cornwall** site. CYC offers separated/divorced families experiencing difficulties, a safe setting, where visits and exchanges can take place without the children witnessing conflict between the parties.

**Skills and Knowledge Required**:

- Highly developed observational and recording skills
- Ability to write accurate, unbiased and neutral notes about a visit and/ or an exchange
- Flexibility, sound judgment and ability to work as a team player
- Highly developed skills in conflict-resolution and problem
- solving
- Experience working with computers. Programs such as MS Word, Excel, and others.

**Requirements**:

- Bilingual (in French and English), written and spoken
- Understanding/knowledge of child development, separation/ divorce issues/ family violence, Family Court proceedings, child and Family Services Act and substance abuse issues
- Must submit to a criminal background screening
- Working towards or have a college diploma in Social Services and/ or Early Childhood Education field or equivalent
- Must be willing to work weekends.
- Have a valid driver’s license to commute between the Hawkesbury and Cornwall sites if needed

- Le programme de visites supervisées_ du Centre York Centre est à la recherche de travailleur d’accès à temps plein occasionnel pour le site de **Cornwall**. Le CYC offre aux familles séparées/divorcées qui connaissent des difficultés, un cadre sécuritaire, où des visites et des échanges peuvent avoir lieu sans que les enfants soient témoins de conflits entre les parties.

**Compétences et connaissances requises**:

- Compétences approfondies en observation et en documentation
- Capacité à rédiger des notes précises, impartiales et neutres concernant des visites et/ou des échanges.
- Flexibilité, bon jugement et capacité à travailler en équipe.
- Compétences approfondies en matière de résolution des conflits et des problèmes.
- Expérience de travail avec des ordinateurs. Programmes tels que MS Word, Excel, et autres.

**Exigences**:

- Bilingue (en français et en anglais), oral et écrit
- Compréhension/connaissance du développement de l'enfant, des problèmes de séparation/divorce/violence familiale, des procédures du tribunal de la famille, de la Loi sur les services à l'enfance et à la famille et des problèmes de toxicomanie.
- Doit se soumettre à une vérification des antécédents criminels
- Travailler en vue de l'obtention/ avoir un diplôme d'études collégiales en services sociaux ou en éducation de la petite enfance, ou l'équivalent.
- Être prêt à travailler les fins de semaines.
- Avoir un permis de conduite valide pour faire des déplacements entre le bureau à Hawkesbury et le bureau à Cornwall en cas de besoin

- Evening shift
- Weekend availability
