Our Claims Associate’s work as part of a closely knit team to perform the daily activities required to maintain a high level of member satisfaction with a timely, accurate claims adjudication and payment experience. **Primary Responsibilities** - Adjudication of day-to-day Member claims including extended health care (paramedical, vision etc.) and dental claims / pre-determinations received in the mail and electronically using our automated claim administration system; ensure timely processing and payment of claims. - Day-to-day claims administration support, including preparation of daily claim reports; filing; mailing claim payments and statement of benefits; input member updates, etc. - Print cheques/create EFT file once adjudication has been completed for upload to the bank and insurance carriers. - Contact service professionals when required, e.g., dental offices for any additional information required, etc. - Work collaboratively with other departments at the Company’s main Waterloo office to ensure member or client issues are openly communicated and addressed in a timely fashion. - Other duties as may be assigned from time to time **Experience, Skills, and Education**: - Minimum 2 years Group Insurance claims adjudication experience. - College Diploma or University Degree or equivalent background and experience - **Fluent in French**: - Experience working directly with benefit plan members and service providers (e.g., dental office staff) to answer questions, gather additional information or manage issues with confidence. - Strong analytical skills with ability to handle problem solving with perseverance and accuracy. - You will be required to learn to work within our claim’s adjudication software program (Telus Adjudicare) for daily claims processing. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is also needed. - A self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize competing tasks in an ever-changing workflow environment. - A team player with a positive attitude who recognizes the need to work collaboratively within the claim’s team as well as other areas of the Company to ensure our clients are best served.
