**Summary**

Reporting to the Group Leader, the Research Assistant will work within a team dedicated to the characterization of cellular immune response through flow cytometry on whole blood and bone marrow aspirates.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform methods according to approved procedures;
- Manage reagent orders and inventory required to perform assays;
- Participate in the joint technical management of the laboratory;

**Education**
- DEC or Bachelor's degree in biology, immunology or equivalent.

**Main Requirements**
- 1 year of laboratory experience;
- 1 year of hands-on experience in ligand binding assay (Ex. ELISA), functional assay or flow cytometry is an asset;
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changes in assignments;
- Experience in cell culture (sterility) and manipulation of infectious material in BL2 + environment;
- Solid theoretical and practical knowledge of immunology-related techniques;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Be motivated to actively participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of the laboratory process;
- Knowledge of written English and oral comprehension of French is an asset.

**Working Conditions**
- Rotating schedules between evening and weekend shifts:

- ** Evenings**: Monday to Friday, from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm
- ** Weekends**:_ _**Wednesday to Friday, from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm + Saturday & Sunday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Must be comfortable working in a BL2 laboratory with potentially infectious samples.
