**Job Overview**
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team here at The Grindstone Theatre Bistro. This is a part time position, but has options for more shifts in the summer/patio/festival season.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and making recommendations based on their tastes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process orders and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies, assisting in ordering as needed.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and a focus on resolution.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in bartending or a related role within the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
- Strong hospitality skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle busy shifts effectively.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and drink measurements.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations in the food industry.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
