**Bedding Department Lead (Annual, Perennial and Tropical Plants)**

- The Bedding Department Lead works with their manager and the buyer to plan, receive and prepare all incoming shipments for merchandising and sales throughout the store.
- Building sales and supporting the Classic Brand by providing outstanding service to our guests
- Sharing your gardening knowledge - informing guests about care & maintenance, asking questions to help solve gardening concerns
- You will be responsible for the Annual, Perennial and tropical plant sales categories (May include some buying responsibility)
- Analyzing weekly and monthly sales, current inventory, and on-order with the goal of optimizing sales
- Proactive approach to always give our customers the best quality, quantity, and plant selection
- Receiving of plant material, ensuring product is priced, and is in good health

**Skills Required**:

- A strong passion for providing an outstanding & memorable guest experience
- Knowledge of Annual, perennial and tropical plants, including proper growing and maintenance requirements
- 3+ years customer service experience, preferably in a retail setting
- Strength in Microsoft excel, and utilizing our POS system for sales reporting
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays as seasonal peaks require
- This job requires extended periods of walking and standing, the ability to perform regular lifting, as well as exposure to varying weather conditions
- Forklift certification or willingness to go through our in-house training program

**Job type**:Flex 32-40 hours per week

**Wage**:$17.00 - 20.00/hr

**Salary**: $15.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
