We are expanding rapidly and seeking a highly motivated, organized, and independent individual to assume the Production & Operations Lead role at our warehouse in Quinte West (Trenton), ON. **Job description** This position is anything but the "typical 9 - 5" - and is a great opportunity for someone with a flexible schedule You need to be multi-talented, able to work under mínimal supervision, and very deadline-oriented. This position will start part-time during our busiest season (between Victoria Day and Labour Day), with gigs throughout the remainder of the year as work comes up (New Year’s Eve, Family Day, etc). Hours depend on the time of year, with the most required hours leading up to Canada Day and other long weekends. There may be the opportunity to turn this into a full-time, long-term career further down the road. You will help Capital remain a leader and innovator in the Canadian entertainment industry. We are seeking someone who truly wants to be an integral member of our company, who takes their responsibilities seriously, and who takes pride in their work. **Duties include (but are not limited to)**: Preparing fireworks equipment for upcoming shows. Loading, driving, setting up & tearing down equipment onsite. Working on fireworks show sites - setting up fireworks shows, handling explosives, shooting fireworks. We will provide and pay for all necessary training and certification. You will be expected to advance to lead fireworks supervisor ASAP. You will also be required to work on some weekends - due to the nature of fireworks shows, you will often be required to work until late at night. Keeping the fireworks equipment in good working order. Identifying and addressing equipment issues promptly, using skills such as basic carpentry. Managing and cleaning the warehouse. Taking regular inventory of equipment and fireworks. Shipping and receiving as required. **Job Type** Part-time, long-term **Location** Quinte West, ON (Trenton-area). This position requires the employee to be present onsite, and cannot be done remotely. **Start time** Spring 2025 (TBD, approximately early-May) **Salary** $21/hour **Schedule** Variable, based on time of year. **Education** Secondary School - required Post-secondary - preferred **Travel opportunities** Domestic, within Ontario via automobile **Other requirements/considerations** Must have own vehicle - preference is given to pick-up trucks (with trailer-towing capabilities) or cargo vans. Personal vehicle mileage paid in accordance with current National Joint Council - Government kilometric rates. Warehouse is not accessible via public transit. Must possess a valid, full class G Ontario driver’s license (or equivalent); special consideration will be given to applicants with AZ and DZ licences. Must own CSA green patch safety footwear.
