The Production Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the manufacturing of weeping tile, managing plant staff, and ensuring efficient operations within the production, recycling, and shipping departments. This role requires close collaboration with the General Manager to uphold quality standards and optimize production processes.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT**:

- Act as team leader, fostering a productive and engaging workplace.
- Coordinate and schedule manufacturing staff to meet production requirements.
- Provide training and cross-training for all plant staff.
- Inspire and motivate team members through effective communication.
- **PRODUCTION OVERSIGHT**:

- Supervise the manufacturing, recycling, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Ensure timely scheduling and fulfillment of product orders.
- Maintain and review production reports; implement corrective actions when products fail quality standards.
- **OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY**:

- Source and manage equipment, tools, and supplies for the manufacturing facility.
- Identify and research cost-saving opportunities related to production.
- Assist in policy, planning, and budgeting as needed.
- **SAFETY & COMPLIANCE**:

- Maintain a safe work environment; enforce compliance with safety policies and practices.
- Support implementation of new safety initiatives.
- **PERFORMANCE MONITORING**:

- Oversee regular maintenance of manufacturing equipment and manage inventory.
- Review and approve employee hours and biweekly time sheets.
- **REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION**:

- Prepare well-documented reports with action recommendations and cost-benefit analyses.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual pricing catalogue.
