We are actively looking to fill the following full time roles at both McCreedy West Mine (MCW) and Levack Mine located in Levack Ontario.

**Scope of the role**

Under the direction of the Underground Supervisor the incumbent carries out all routine duties of the classification above. Duties would include mucking, installation of ground support, mine services, drilling, loading and blasting as well as operating, monitoring and daily inspections of equipment for proper operation while complying with all safety procedures, Shaft inspections and maintenance including rehab work (all positions as needed). The incumbent will demonstrate KGHM’s core values of: Zero Harm, Courageous, Results Driven, Teamwork and Accountability.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**
- Installation of ground support as per ground control standards for new development workings and to recondition existing openings.
- Installation and maintenance of mine services such as compressed air, service water, dewatering, and ventilation
- Operation of elevated work platform (scissor deck) to install and maintain ground support and mine services.
- Operation of jackleg and stoper to install ground support.
- Operation of MacLean bolter to install ground support.
- Operation of Scooptram/LHD for development cycle and handling of material following geology instructions where applicable.
- Operation of Jumbo drill for development cycle.
- Operation of utility equipment to facilitate development cycle (forklift, boomtruck, tractor).
- Safe handling, loading and blasting of explosives for development cycle.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to follow instructions, including daily line up and ad hoc tasks throughout shift.
- Follow all company policies, standards and safety procedures, including daily safety cards and all pre-operating inspections and checklists.
- Follow development print instructions to accurately develop openings as per line, grade, and ground support directions.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area at all times.
- Ability to work independently or within a team.
- Shift work required including rotating day and night shifts.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

**QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**

1. Previous Related Work Experience Required
- Minimum 5-10 years previous experience in underground mining industry
- Development, Jumbo, MacLean Bolter, Jackleg & Stoper experience required

2. Education Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent

3. Special Skills and/or Knowledge Required
- Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations and problem solving ability.
- Recognize and understand hazards in an underground development workplace such as changing ground conditions to safely perform duties.
- Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 120lbs.

**4. Special Equipment/Computer Knowledge Required**
- Sound knowledge of safe underground mining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret development print layouts.
