Operating as a non-profit society since 1977, Etana provides support services to adults with developmental disabilities. We work with individuals in the city of Red Deer and area, with our office located in Red Deer.

We are recruiting a Part-Time Direct Support Worker to provide individualized support for individuals in Red Deer. **This position requires working Monday through Friday 12 pm to 5 pm. **There may be some variation in this schedule required from time to time as dictated by the individuals requirements.

As a Community Support Worker you would be providing supports that include community outings such as going for walks, bowling, swimming, water sports etc. Supports will also be required within the individuals own home. Some personal care is required.

You will be expected to provide supports across multiple environments, which will promote personal growth, increase social inclusion and enhance quality of life.

You will complete your duties ensuring that services provided are of the maximum possible benefit to the individual(s) and that services are operated in accordance with standards as set out by Etana, Disability Services and C.A.R.F Accreditation Standards.

**This is a permanent fulltime position with excellent benefits and paid sick days.**

**Minimum Requirements**
- High School Diploma or Mature Status
- Class 5 Driver's License, reliable vehicle and valid insurance
- Experience in Human Service Field
- Emergency First Aid & CPR
- Clear Vulnerable Sector check
- Experienced in personal care

**REQUIRED TRAINING** _(this training is available through Etana)_
- Abuse Protocol/ Protection of Persons in Care Act.
- SIVA (Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments) name change
- Medication Administration
- Food Safe

Pay: Up to $20.22 per hour
