**Child Care Educator & Admin Assistant**

**About the Role**

Little Grove Child Care is hiring a caring, organized team member who enjoys working with children and keeping a centre running smoothly. A learner who is open to developmental learning.

You’ll support classrooms (ages 12 months-4 years) and handle light office/admin tasks that keep families, staff, and records on track.

**Required Qualifications (Ontario)**
- **ECE Diploma or Degree** and **Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)** **in good standing** with the **College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)**.
- **2+ years** progressive administrative/lead experience in a **licensed** childcare setting (centre-based).
- **Standard First Aid with CPR-C** (current) and **Vulnerable Sector Check** (acceptable, current/renewable).
- Up-to-date **immunizations** as required by local Public Health; **TB test** as required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of **CCEYA**, **O. Reg. 137/15**, **How Does Learning Happen?**, **Ministry licensing**, and **Public Health** requirements.
- Proficiency with childcare admin platforms and MS Office/Google Workspace; strong written/verbal communication.
- Able to lift up to 45lbs

**What You’ll Do**

**In the Classroom (≈60-70%)**
- Engage children in safe, play-based learning aligned with _How Does Learning Happen?_
- Supervise indoor/outdoor play, meals, rest time; complete daily logs and incident reports.
- Support inclusion and positive guidance; build warm, professional relationships with families.

**In the Office (≈30-40%)**
- Keep children’s files up to date (consents, emergency cards, immunization/TB where required).
- Help with invoicing, receipts, deposits tracking, subsidy/CWELCC paperwork (as applicable).
- Maintain staff schedules, PD/First Aid expiry tracker, supply coverage list.
- Keep forms, policies, and safety checklists organized and **audit-ready**.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or camp/school setting.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, clear communication, and service mindset.
- Comfortable with Google Workspace/MS Office
- **Standard First Aid & CPR-C (or willing to obtain before start).**:

- Knowledge of Ontario’s **CCEYA**

**Nice to Have (choose what fits your posting)**
- **ECA/ECE diploma**; **RECE in good standing** with CECE is an asset.

Pay: $18.01-$25.91 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
