Balfour Animal Hospital has an immediate opening for a Veterinary Assistant whose dream job would be helping to care for the pets of their community.

In this position, you will spend the majority of your time assisting the Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians with the care and treatment of the pets who depend on us.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Using best practices to safely restrain pets during exams and treatment.
- Making sure the pets staying in the kennels have clean and comfortable accommodations.
- Preparing medications with the highest accuracy.
- Updating patient records and notes regarding care in their electronic file.
- Assisting with answering phones
- Communicating with clients about their pet’s visit and care.

**Qualifications**:
A minimum of 2 years of experience providing top-notch customer service both in person and over the phone is strongly preferred. Experience with multi-line phone systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Truly superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to meet the needs of the person you are communicating with.
- The ability to effectively prioritize and meet multiple requests at one time.
- Must be tech savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly.
