**Devoirs essentiels**:

- Responsable de l’exécution d’une variété de tâches qui valident et garantissent que de nouveaux logiciels de qualité sont distribués par les services de développement
- Établir et rédiger des plans d’essai et des procédures de test pour les nouveaux logiciels développés avant d’être mis en scène pour s’assurer qu’il répond aux spécifications
- Concevoir, créer et exécuter des cas de test automatisés et/ou manuels, analyser et documenter les résultats
- Compléter les tests fonctionnels du produit pour identifier les erreurs du logiciel et les non-conformités, fournissant les résultats au département ou à la fonction appropriée
- Interface avec le développement pour déterminer les exigences fonctionnelles et s’assurer que ces exigences sont testables

**Éducation**:
Éducation au Canada
- Diplôme d’un collège accrédité en informatique, ou dans un domaine connexe requis
- Une expérience de travail équivalente dans un poste similaire peut être substituée aux exigences en matière d’études
- Maîtrise de l’anglais parlé et écrit

**Expérience**:

- Minimum de trois ans d’expérience dans la vérification et la mise à l’essai de logiciels et de matériel requis
- Minimum d’un an d’expérience dans le réseautage (p. ex., TCPIP, etc.) requis
- Expérience et connaissance des protocoles VoIP (SIP, SDP, RTP) est un atout
- Une expérience avec JIRA et Zephyr est un atout

**Validation Technician** in Montreal to join our Life & Safety business segment.

**Essential Duties**:

- Responsible for performing a variety of tasks that validate and ensure quality new software is distributed from the development departments
- Establish and write test plans and test procedures for new software developed prior to being staged to ensure that it meets the specifications
- Design, create and execute automated and/or manual test cases, analyze and document the results
- Perform functional test of the product to identify bugs and nonconformities, providing the results to the appropriate department or function
- Interface with development to determine functional requirements, and ensure those requirements are testable

**Applicant for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications**:
**Education**:
Canadian Education
- Degree from an accredited college in computer science, or related field required
- Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements
- Canadian requirement: Proficient spoken and written English required

**Experience**:

- Minimum three years experience in software/hardware verification and testing required
- Minimum one year experience in networking (e.g., TCPIP, etc.) required
- Experience with / knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, SDP, RTP) is an asset
- Experience with JIRA and Zephyr is an asset
