We offer competitive salaries, benefits, training and development, work-life balance and staff team building events. **RESPONSIBILITIES** - Pick, receive, ship, and count inventory as required - Schedule and coordinate shipments, including LTL truck deliveries and pick-ups to ensure ship dates are arranged in a timely manner - Call external trucking companies to set up shipments or book pick-up appointments with customers in a professional and courteous manner - Maintain regular and on-going communications with CSRs, Sales, and Production to ensure and verify shipping/receiving priorities and timing - Coordinate with local carriers or third-party carriers to provide transit times, shipment quotes, and estimates to CSRs and Sales Department - Pay close attention to special labeling instructions or shipping information - Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives - Work overtime as required and perform other duties as requested to support team members and management - Act as a back-up company truck driver **REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS** - Extensive knowledge of courier systems, such as, FedEx, Purolator, UPS, Canpar, and Loomis - Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to details - Excellent track record in providing timely arrangement of shipment scheduling and order fulfillment with high degree of accuracy and dependability - Strong team and collaborative skills, with the ability to work without direct supervision - Impeccable attendance and reliability - Proficiency in written and spoken English - Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) - Lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environment - Full Class 5 (Non-GDL) driver’s license with lean driver’s abstract **EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE** - Post-secondary education and/or minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in shipping/receiving, distribution, order picking and packing - Proven track record in accessing and utilizing information from a computerized inventory control database. Previous experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Dynamic Ship is an asset Remuneration commensurate with experience.
