Garibaldi Highlands, Canada Kitchen Quickies - Fresh Organic Groceteria Full time

We have a small, busy kitchen specializing in natural and organic foods made from scratch. Here, you will work with friendly teammates and great customers. Work schedules can be flexible. However, we generally prepare fresh baked goods and sandwiches in the morning and do prep and complex meals in the afternoon, evening or overnight.

**You will be making **muffins, cookies, gourmet sandwiches, vegan sandwiches, beautiful salads, take home soups & chili and frozen vegan desserts. Experience with this kind of menu is an asset but training can be provided.

**Your work duties will include **use of a commercial grade induction stove top, convection oven, robot coupe, vitamix, dishwasher etc. You will be responsible for managing your own time and priorities, cleaning of kitchen area, communicating with customers, making updates to labels for prepared food and checking inventory.

We offer standard vacation pay and we are respectful of overtime rules. Normally, your total workday will not be longer than 8 hours and will include a 30 minute paid break. We also offer staff meals and employee store discounts. There are 5 mandated paid sick days per year. After a period of time benefits are provided in the form of an HSA.

**Detailed Job Description**:
**Manage your own written or mental prepared food production schedule** and communicate with team members. Schedule should prioritize quality and - consistency of menu selection - while meeting production targets.
