Position Title**:Industrial Shop Helper**

Classification: Full-Time

Department: Service/Projects/Fabrication

Report To: Shop Supervisor

Work Schedule in shop:
Based on work flow, typical schedule Monday to Friday 700am to 230pm

Apprenticeship:
The shop helper position is an entry level position. Apprenticeship is a possibility.

ZRow specialized team has years of experience in MRF design, Baler rebuilds and recycling equipment installation and repairs.

By concentrating our attention on the recycling industry, we have developed technicians specifically trained to quickly trouble shoot and respond to problems that are unique to the recycling industry.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Works day to day along our shop supervisor
- Perform required tasks to help in shop environment
- Assist in repairs and installs recycling machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishments, using welding equipment, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
- Assist with fabrication, moves, assemblies and installs of equipment, such as conveyors, balers, platforms and other industrial equipment, using hand tools, power tools, forklifts, man lifts, jack and roll equipment, cranes and other large industrial equipment.
- Assist with alingment of machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
- Assist with in shop and on site rebuild and service work projects and equipment rebuilds.
- Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.

**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.

Performs other duties as assigned.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS**

High School Diploma or GED.

Own basic hand tools for daily tasks (highly recommended).

Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills

Interest in enrolling in Millwright program

Valid driver’s license

Bondable to work in secured areas.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**

Manufacturing / Industrial environment; will be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts, and exotic materials.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**

Lifting up to 50lbs regularly, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, and visual acuity.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
