This is a leading and long-standing industrial manufacturer based in Hamilton with a stable ledger of long-term customers. We are looking to expand in order to keep up with a growing market. Subsequently, we require the services of a Machine Operator with some experience in a manufacturing environment.

We have both a full-time day shift and a full-time afternoon shift open. We can additionally adjust this to suit a co-op position and summer employment.

**The successful applicant will have the following responsibilities**:

- Operate equipment to trim wheels, sections, sectional assemblies, and helically wound brushes to a specified diameter. Required to make all necessary adjustments, while exercising a thorough knowledge of machine capabilities and limitations in order to achieve results as specified on the job work order.
- Using required lifting devices to load brushes onto appropriate drive mandrels.
- Leads the completion of production work orders.
- Appropriately marks, packs, labels, and secures certain wheels, sections, sectional assemblies, and helically wound brushes in cardboard cartons or wood boxes.
- Removes dull/used trimming tooling.
- Keeps the work area clean and organized and lubricates machinery.
- Work autonomously in an environment where safety is a priority
- Maintain a high level of energy and commitment

**Your Qualifications and Capabilities**:

- High school education
- Attention to detail and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, including those of a production work order.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Understands and executes activities necessary to provide consistent and accurate output, satisfying the needs of QMS, customers and other interested parties.
- Must be alert and observant to details during setup and operation of machinery.
- Must be able to operate various power hand tools.
- Reliable and conscientious work ethic.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- A strong drive to succeed, self-motivated, and able to promote a safety-conscious environment.

**Additional Information**
- Permanent, full-time employment
- Day-shift hours are from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Afternoon shift is 4 pm to 12:30 am.
- $18.00 to start
- review after 3 months, additional shift premium for the afternoon shift.
- Benefits after 3 months probation.
