What's the opportunity?
We’re seeking a motivated individual for a 6-month contract as an HR Coordinator, with the potential for a full-time position. This role is essential in supporting the HR department through administrative tasks, employee onboarding, recruitment coordination, recordkeeping, and managing general HR inquiries.
**Location**: Toronto (Hybrid)
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Recruiting - screen resumes and conduct phone interviews for various positions within a warehouse environment.
- Training employees and maintaining employee procedures as needed to ensure standards are upheld.
- Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations.
- Conduct onboarding sessions for newly hired and returning employees.
- Assist in practicing and communicating health & safety standards through applicable measures.
- Practice core values to promote a positive work culture and enhance all employee experiences throughout the organization.
- Support the performance evaluation, staffing, training and development, and succession planning processes.
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- 1-2 years of recruitment and/or Human Resources experience in a professional business environment
- University degree or College diploma in Human Resources
- Ability to deal with HR issues with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize workload and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Ability and flexibility to thrive in a high stress environment, with frequent and competing deadlines, multiple tasks and high performance expectations.
