Steel-Craft Door Sales & Service Ltd. is looking for a motivated and mechanically included individual to join our team as a Field Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in construction, carpentry, mechanical trades, or general installation work who wants to develop a specialized skill set in overhead door systems.

You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial overhead doors and openers. This role involves working outdoors year round at customer sites and required comfort working in varying weather conditions. When not assisting in the field, you will support operations in the warehouse, including organizing inventory, and assisting with shipping and receiving. We provide hands on training, all necessary tools, and a safe, team oriented environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with the installation, service, and repair of residential and commercial overhead door systems.
- Work outdoors at customer sites in various weather conditions.
- Load and unload materials, organize tools, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Operate hand and power tools, safely and efficiently.
- Work with senior technicians to measure, assemble, and install door sections, track, springs, and related hardware.
- Drive company vehicles to jobs sites and interact professionally with customers.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Work in the warehouse when not assigned to field installation or service work, supporting inventory handling and order preparation.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in construction, carpentry, mechanical trades, or installation work is an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
- Comfortable working at heights, working outdoors, and lifting heavy materials.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians.
