- In this role, you will: _
- Be responsible for the creation/update of technical drawings and specifications to support the maintenance of Victoria Class Submarines.
- Perform submarine Pipe-Isometric drawing updates, as required;
- Create/update integrated parts catalogue (IPC) drawings, as required;
- Produce drawings, models, simple calculations, design documentation and technical reports.
- Update as-fitted technical drawings to reflect the final installed configuration of the submarine.
- Assist more senior staff in a range of activities in the Design and Configuration disciplines.
- Support clean-up and correction of existing configuration data in preparation for migration of that data to a modern Enterprise Toolset.
- Work within a small team dedicated to resolution of configuration issues and management of change control.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- A post-secondary education in a technical field with a minimum of one-year relevant experience;
- Familiarity with ASME Y14 drawing standards.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Raster and SolidWorks PDM.
- Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date.
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
- The following are considered desirable:_
- Experience with DRMIS, IFS, SAP or other data-management system(s).
