For over 30 years, the Denham Hospitality Organization has operated two award-winning full-service Best Western hotels in Leduc - Best Western Premier Denham Inn & Suites and Best Western Plus Edmonton Airport Hotel. **Maintenance Lead**

As our new Maintenance Lead, your main priority will be to ensure we are maintaining our Guest Rooms, Public Areas, Exterior & Physical Plant in the high levels of working order & quality standards.

Day to day, you’ll spend time performing general property & building maintenance, conducting preventative maintenance, managing contractors and troubleshooting mechanical & operational problems.

You’ll have a strong result orientated focus on quality assurance but also guest service & hospitality. You will choose doing things right instead what’s most expedient. You’ll actively manage the daily work to ensure the readiness of our facility and that we are in a position to provide our guests with an exceptional experience.

Practically speaking, your responsibilities will include:

- Property & Building Maintenance - HVAC, Mechanical Equipment, Pool Maintenance, Dry Wall repairs, Vinyl Repairs, Painting, Plumbing, Furniture Repairs, Landscaping / Snow Removal and Minor repair orders
- Preventative Maintenance / Deep Clean - completing regular inspection checklists and performing tasks to maintain equipment and hotel in peak working order
- Health & Safety - creates a safe and attractive environment for guests and associates by ensuring the hotel is maintained in accordance with safety standards
- Inventory control and purchasing - safeguard & purchase of tools, equipment and maintenance supplies
- Duty manager responsibilities - oversight of safety and security, energy conservation, and guest relations (i.e. complaints or special requests)

**The Details**:
This is a full-time, permanent position working 5 days per week typically between 8 am - 5 pm and potentially weekends.

Our Best Western Premier Plus Edmonton Airport Hotel is located at 5705 50th street in downtown Leduc and only 5 minutes from the Edmonton International Airport.

**Qualifications**:

- Extensive building maintenance experience (3 - 5 years), preferably in a hotel environment
