Rigger - Cw

There is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join the** **Construction** team in** **Vancouver** **as a Rigger. This role will be responsible for maintaining all rigging equipment and will require a high standard of safety.
- Attach rigging to material and equipment to prepare for moving with chains, shackles, web slings, chokers and or straps
- Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
- Must be able to perform quick load calculations
- Determine angles and position of rigging to ensure all loads are safe and secure during lift
- Must be able to perform quantity counts of equipment (incoming and outgoing)
- Maintain the on-site riggers log book on a daily basis
- Communicate with other trades as to positioning of their materials within the project boundaries and floor to floor
- Must be able to communicate directions to crane operator while load is “in the blind”
- Follow all project policies and working rules
- ensure all that all work scope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment

**Summary of responsibilities and requirements**:

- Minimum two (2-5) years of construction experience as a Rigger, working on a variety of job sites including commercial and multi-residential
- Experience with multiple crane sites is an asset
- Must be willing to work overtime during regular work week and Saturday’s
- Must have valid rigging certificate or Letter of Competence
- Must hold a valid fall protection certificate
- Staying alert and maintain a high level of concentration
- Ability to work with hand and power carpentry tools and other construction equipment
- Ability to assess situations and identify potential hazards
- Represent the company, resolving customer concerns and keeping a positive attitude
