**Overview**
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager of Housekeeping & Laundry, performs cleaning related tasks that are necessary to ensure that the properties owned by Action Line Housing Society are safe, functional, and meet desired standards of appearance. This includes cleaning the resident’s rooms and laundry on a weekly basis as well as cleaning and sanitizing the common areas daily.
Qualifications:
Ability to conduct significant amounts of repetitive lifting (up to 50lbs), bending, stooping, and stretching in a warm and humid environment.
Customer service focused.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Able to function effectively as a team member and at times work independently with a minimum of supervision.
Personal qualities and attitudes that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relations by displaying tact, courtesy and patience with residents, staff, visitors, and volunteers.
Personal qualities and attitudes that respect and maintain the spirit, dignity, individuality and confidentiality of residents and their families.
Previous housekeeping and/or janitorial experience is an asset.
A certificate in laundry production and/or proven laundry experience in a similar resident-oriented environment or a combination of training is an asset.
Pay: $20.00-$21.38 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
