**Meat Assistant Manager**
**Summary**:
The Meat Assistant Manager's mandate is to assist management in the smooth running of the department's activities. He/she replaces the manager when he/she is absent. He/she ensures excellent customer service and quality products at all times, while complying with company standards and policies.
**Specific Tasks**:
- Help implement strategies to increase department sales and profitability;
- Work to achieve the objectives set by the manager and encourage team members to do the same;
- Ensure the supply and marketing of the department's products;
- Assist the manager with personnel management in his/her absence;
- Coach and motivate team members to improve department productivity;
- Ensure and monitor compliance with procedures, policies and standards of hygiene and sanitation;
- Ensure food quality and freshness, and be vigilant in minimizing product losses and waste;
- Ensure the quality of customer service in the department;
- In collaboration with the Manager, follow up on the department's inventory, price lists and merchandising, while respecting established budgets;
- Assist in receiving deliveries and ensuring safe storage of products;
- Pack, label and price products according to company standards;
- Follow cleaning procedures and equipment maintenance schedules;
- Follow up on pita production and customer orders, as required; Other related duties.\
**Eligibility Criteria**:
- DEP in butchery or similar training
- 6 months' experience in a butcher's shop
- Management experience an asset
- Good knowledge of products sold

**Relations**:
The Meat Assistant Manager liaises with members of his/her department, store management and store customers.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mississauga, ON (L5B): reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Management: 2 years (preferred)
