Cuddle with Dogs As An Overnight Attendant

If you are energetic, fun, and of course love dogs, then this might be a great opportunity for you We are a rapidly expanding dog daycare and overnight care facility looking for an overnight crew member for our Midtown location at Laird and Eglinton.

The overnight crew member is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all boarding dogs, completing light cleaning projects and small dog let outs throughout the night. You will also be responsible for caring for and cuddling with our VIP slumber party dogs who stay and sleep in a separate part of the building.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
Supervising and ensuring proper care of all boarding dogs. This includes being solely responsible for supervising a group of dogs of varying sizes and breeds overnight.

Letting dogs out for bathroom breaks.

Preparing meals/medications for overnight guests.

Being attentive to the individual needs of the various dogs and conducting nightly checks.

Keeping the facility clean by following checklists and company procedures.

Creating a calm and peaceful overnight environment for the dogs to sleep.

Doing certain administrative tasks
- inputting client information etc: Client relations may be needed at times.

Job requirements include:
Preference of previous professional dog experience (daycare, shelter, vet tech etc)

Must be comfortable around a large group of dogs of all sizes and breeds.

Must be reliable and trustworthy.

Must have transportation.

Self-starter who can work independently and make common sense decisions.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals.

Ability to keep a positive attitude in a sometimes stressful environment.

Must be able to lift unassisted a minimum of 40 lbs and be willing and able to safely restrain or move dogs of all sizes.

While performing this job, employees will be standing, walking and active for part of the night, and spoiling our VIP dogs for the rest of the night.

Ability to work with mínimal supervision.

Availability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Must be somewhat flexible with scheduling as nights may change weekly/ seasonally though we do our best to establish a regular schedule if desired.
