**Location**: Ladysmith, B.C.

**Employment Type**: Part-time, Live-in Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced **Resident Caretaker** to join our team at a seniors' rental apartment building. This is a live-in position that requires a compassionate, responsible, and organized individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the building
- Conduct regular inspections and address minor repairs
- Coordinate with external contractors for larger maintenance issues
- Respond promptly to resident inquiries and concerns with professionalism and care
- Maintain accurate records and reports using computer software
- Ensure the building remains secure and in compliance with all safety regulations
- Assist with tenant move-ins and move-outs
- Keep common areas clean and well-maintained

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in building maintenance, property management, or a related role
- Strong understanding of general building maintenance and repairs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Caring and patient demeanor, especially when interacting with seniors
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to respond to emergency situations as needed
- Must be willing to live on-site
