We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Labour Supervisor to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional plants to our customers

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervising all crop work completed in the greenhouse area
- Provide leadership for Employee Relations though effective communication
- Work side by side with a team of Growers to achieve production/shipping targets, including loading plants, assembling carts, crop work, and enforcing hygiene
- Ensure that all employees adhere to strict hygiene protocols, Standard operating procedures (SOP’s), Health and Safety guidelines, and Company policies and procedures
- Planning, delegating, motivating, and leading the teams to improve performance and quality, while ensuring work is done efficiently, correctly, and up to quality standards
- Be able to clearly convey instructions and expectations of standards and quality to Labourers
- Ensure equipment issues are reported by workers and conveyed to appropriate departments
- Train new labourers using an established training program
- Provide coaching, and if necessary, Issue corrective action/write ups as needed
- Promote a positive work environment to achieve excellent efficiency and quality
- Supervise 50+ workers at a time

**Requirements**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, positive, and open minded
- Ability to work with and learn computer programs like Microsoft Office Suite
- Greenhouse experience is an asset but not required
- Highly motivated, energetic, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with and communicating work instructions to workers whose primary language is not English
- Proficiency in Spanish is not required, but an asset
- Ability to carry up to 50 lbs

**Working Conditions**:

- Combination of office (20%) and Greenhouse (80%) environment
- Work in variable climate condition, high temperatures and humidity
- Position requires sitting, standing, walking, and bending on a regular basis
- Able to work flexible hours including weekends
- Hours may vary during busy times
- Greenhouse environment in a rural area, own transportation required
