Porter/labourer - College/uni Summer Student

Ottawa, Canada Bona Building & Management Full time

**Responsibilities include**:

- Responsible for the general upkeep of cleanliness and order of commercial properties
- Dispose of garbage, recycling, etc. throughout the property, as required
- Perform and assist in routine building maintenance as required and asked
- Maintaining lawns, gardens and green spaces in summer months
- Assisting in snow removal, laying sand/ice melter and ensuring the grounds are safe for tenants in winter months
- Performing cleaning tasks as directed by Building Operator or Manager that can include sweeping, mopping etc.
- Collecting refuse, garbage and recycling and disposing of it in the proper bins.
- Act as escort for contractors on site who need to access occupied spaces that require clearance.
- Assisting the maintenance team with tasks as directed and able.

**Requirements/Qualifications**
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Good communication and customer service skills
- No on-call
- Must be able to be cleared
- Aware of health & safety policies/regulations

**Hours**:
**7:30AM to 4:00PM**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Internship / Co-op

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
