**Salary**: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
**Schedule**: 8-hour shifts | 40 hours per week | Some evenings and weekends may be required

**About Terra Vale Emerald Hills**

Terra Vale Emerald Hills is a new 87-suite luxury active living apartment community for seniors, opening in August 2025. We are focused on delivering a vibrant, safe, and connected lifestyle through engaging programming, upscale amenities, and resident-centered service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate **General Manager** to lead our team and help build an exceptional experience for residents from the very beginning.

**Job Summary**

As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of property operations including maintenance, resident services, team leadership, vendor coordination, and financial performance. You’ll be the primary point of contact for residents and staff, ensuring a high standard of care and community experience.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Operations & Property Management**
- Oversee daily facility operations and ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure rental income is verified and properly documented.
- Liaise with residents and families to resolve issues affecting quality of life.
- Manage vendor relationships and service contracts.
- Coordinate parking and locker storage agreements.

**Marketing & Leasing Support**
- Ensure the property is prepared to host leasing events and marketing tours.
- Support leasing team with onsite readiness and activity monitoring.
- Provide regular reports to ownership on leasing and operations.
- Ensure timely maintenance response and support maintenance staff.

**Financial & Contract Management**
- Monitor income, expenses, and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Collect rental and service fees.
- Select and evaluate contractors; review vendor performance.
- Conduct regular audits and provide reports to ownership.

**Team Leadership**
- Supervise staff and resident volunteers, ensuring alignment with company policies.
- Delegate tasks with clear direction and timelines.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and training.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Preferred Experience**
- Experience working with seniors is highly preferred
- Property management experience is an asset but not required

**Skills and Competencies**
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi is an asset
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage under pressure and make resident-centered decisions
- Collaborative leadership style with a proactive mindset
- Experience with budget preparation and financial oversight
- Ability to liaise with Alberta Health Services and ownership when needed
