Position: Shipper and Receiver Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Employment Type: Full-time

**Responsibilities**:

- Receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Inspect and examine received goods for damages, defects, or discrepancies, and promptly report any issues to the appropriate department.
- Prepare and pack outgoing shipments in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move and store items.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, including tracking information and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to organize and optimize storage space and ensure an efficient layout.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely transportation of goods.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to address shipping and receiving inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the shipping and receiving processes.
- Assist in inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Organize and set routes for the Parts Delivery driver.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts, and a valid forklift operator's license is desirable.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Detail-oriented and capable of performing tasks with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
