**hybrid role **with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Toronto office.

**What the Day Will Look Like**:
The primary responsibilities in this role include representing the Professional Services Group in servicing clients, supporting account teams from coast to coast, developing professional liability tools and materials to support clients and account teams and analyzing client-specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements

You will be involved in preparing and presenting marketing proposals for renewals and new business, negotiating with underwriters to establish the best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverage and following up with insurers to confirm that the terms of agreed-upon contract are met.
- Approving documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals
- Establishing contacts and nurture relationships within the underwriting community in an effort to achieve the best outcomes for Aon clients
- Collaborating with key Account Teams and Insurers to build Professional Liability programs and solutions and collaborating with Account Executives to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for both renewal and prospective business

You will also enhance your leadership skills by providing guidance, training and mentorship to assist in the development of Associate Brokers

**Skills and Experience that will lead to success**:

- Five (5) years of insurance experience, preferably commercial, is ideal
- Experience in the construction industry, preferably in the professional liability space, is a definite asset but not required
- Consistent track record of working both collaboratively as a key member of a team and also working independently with minimum supervision, as the situation requires
- Strong digital literacy and proficient with the Microsoft Office package.

**Education**:
Ideally, our new colleague brings a post-Secondary degree in a related field such as Risk Management, Business or Finance.

Success as a Broker requires dedication to ongoing learning and professional development, including but not limited to the pursuit of insurance courses and certifications such as Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) and Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP).
