The Hydrogen Infrastructure group is a technical leader in the design, construction, and operation of
compressed hydrogen fueling infrastructure solutions - these include stationary, semi-permanent, and
mobile refueling stations, light-weight tube trailers, and station testing and certification equipment. We
pioneered the design of turnkey, containerized hydrogen fueling station packages. Other firsts include
the world’s first 700 bar “fast-fill” hydrogen refueling station and the first hydrogen station capable of
fueling four fuel cell vehicles simultaneously.

As a member of the Hydrogen Infrastructure team, you will work as a Controls Engineer / PLC
Programmer to support the development of hydrogen fueling stations. You will work with a team of
engineers, software programmers, technicians, and fabricators to improve our existing hydrogen
fueling stations and to develop new products. In this multidisciplinary environment, you will be largely
involved in engineering design, process improvements, testing, quality control, and optimization.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Duties**:

- Lead and execute control system design and documentation (control narratives, functional

descriptions, logic diagrams, etc) for hydrogen refueling equipment.
- Lead and execute PLC and HMI programming for hydrogen refueling equipment.

- Actively participate in or lead HAZOP studies.
- Size and specify instrumentation, control valves, and PLC/HMI hardware.
- Lead factory acceptance testing at Powertech.
- Lead field commissioning work, including:

- Willing to travel to customer sites.
- Startup of equipment.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting instrumentation and controls issues.
- Hands-on field work
- Oversee and provide technical input and directions to Technicians and electricians involved in

the construction and testing of the hydrogen fueling stations.
- Independently strategize, analyze and design hydrogen fueling station control systems to meet

customer requirements.
- Establish quality control and safety of the process and design.
- Develop standardized processes and technical procedures.
- Demonstrate a pro-active approach to sourcing of project materials and components.
- Engage effectively with multiple contractors and customers to ensure the highest level of

customer service is achieved.
- Maintain professional relationships with other departments, outside consultants, contractors and

suppliers in order to gather and relay information and resolve issues of concern.
- Provide customer support for new and existing hydrogen stations.This may involve remote

support or travel to customer sites.
